1952 INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER PICKUP TRUCK - $5500 (Michigan)

Ever since my recent purchase, these IHC's are popping up all over the place...either that, or now I'm just noticing them

I then found this portion of the forum, and thought I'd add.

Fair enough - maybe I should have said noticing them with a little more education and differentiation. :t1809:

Re: 1952 INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER PICKUP TRUCK - $5500 (Michi

I was about to buy an L130. The seller brought the L130 to The Lower Mainland for me to see it and buy it. I went to see the "L" at his friend's home/acreage. The seller disappeared and is not answering his cell. An unnamed person suggested the seller may have been arrested and may be unavailable for some time. So, the really decent looking L130 is sitting out in the Wet Coast rain after decades of dry storage. I was told the engine starts and runs. I was going to build a canopy for this "L" and temporarily store a ton of IHC sheetmetal in the box. I bought a HAULMARK trailer because I cannot wait. If this IHC suddenly becomes available I will buy it just for the "L" of it. I will let my daughter drive it to her teaching job. If she survives the first round trip in this traffic and asks to drive it again, I might have grounds to question her sanity.
My daughter should pick up her BF in the old relic. I would like to be that fly on the windscreen just so I could see his face. Maybe I will put a flight barf-bag in the glove box.

It seems that old trucks for sale appear in waves. I can go months without any new Craigslist adds for international trucks. Then all of a sudden there will be 3 of them and not too far away.

I really like the IHC Ls. On my long bucket list of trucks to get. The picture from Nicki of the light blue short box L is to die for. That truck looks awesome.

The blue L is a one ton and there has been a suggestion that the box is the option 9 foot.

Yea, this guy gets some interesting stuff,

He listed this truck on ePay a while back, and someone "bought it now" for $10k.

It's still listed in his completed auctions as sold,

But he has it listed on hemmings too,

Something a little fishy going on, great truck, needs a cab but otherwise super rare with the Anthony box
