52 IH panel truck

Wish it hadn't been frame swapped. Not that I'm against it, just you never know what gets done in someone's back yard.....

1952 International panel truck on a s10 frame. Has a 305 Chevy engine that runs not sure about the trans. This is a project and will require a lot more work to be able to drive. Still needs the floor and the front clip installed. Call (864)395-9499 with any questions.

Wheelbase looks pretty close.

Track width doesn't look very close to me, at least from this side.

Wish he had better photos of the body. Might still be worth it, if you could talk him down a little. I think a dodge dakota frame is closer.

Re: 52 IH panel truck

First, it has a S series front clip which looks like it's been with that body forever, so a 1956 most likely,

Title problems? Agreed wrong frame for a swap, wonder if original frame is still around,

Good news is that pick up use same frame, so finding a frame is doable,

A lot of work

Re: 52 IH panel truck

The "newer mini-truck" frames swoop down in the middle. That's everyone's downfall, I think. If you agree that the "swoop" is where the floor needs to be bolted on then you have to deal with the frame kick in rear. The rear floor and the kick interfere with the floor losing the battle. At least a section of the rear floor has to go UP.
Around here this is called a "body drop". The frame/ body relationship has been altered. Most folks here just let the rear frame section show through the bed/floor of the truck rendering the "pickup" useless as designed. But they're cool!
As for firewall forward the hood has to fit. This usually means sectioning the radiator support appropriately. Not a big deal.
Deep dish wheels to make up for wrong width can be cool?
I wouldn't give up on this one just yet.

Jon, That first one you posted looks nice, but If I had the money, I would be calling the fellow on the 50 in Washington. I happen to like the hidden hinge trucks.
