chopped 1936 panel

I'm not a Yuge fan of rat rods, I guess I wouldn't call this a rat rod, guy says it wasn't a good candidate to restore, I think he did a good job on a custom chop,

has a mean look good stance, interestingly isn't carrying a SBC 350

Re: chopped 1936 panel

My thoughts:
1) I know how much time he has in it. However, I really like STOCK panel trucks, more?
2) The "body drop", chop and shortening represents a lot of thought. It has a "Sedan Delivery" vibe to it, now.
3) It's the same color as the dirt around it. Either "good job!" or "get some paint in it!". I don't know which.
4) That Ford flat six is a bit of a rare bird. Ford made lots of flathead v-8s, not many flathead sixes.
5) I think he needs to keep it. It's so...personalized.
6) My IHC radar says 1936 all steel doors? Maybe less in this panel body than earlier years?
Still, it HAS or HAD lots of wood in it?

When the hood has a notch in it for the steering pitman shaft you know the thing has been modified. Check out upper rad hose. Goes downhill to rad?

Re: chopped 1936 panel

he either is selling without reserve or he doesn't realize he didn't add reserve, as it is now, it will sell for at least $14k, which is a great deal for the work involved,

seen so many cobbled rat rods, this looks well done, I don't know how I feel about the flat 6 Ferd motor, my bro in law's 52 ferd pickum up had that flat motor,

flat 8 would look better in there, but probably would be a fit issue, not bad for closed hood hot rod,

Yes, sedan delivery look,

Re: chopped 1936 panel

I just noticed it's chopped, channeled, shortened AND SECTIONED.
Wow! Tour de Force!
Another small annoyance...the rear fenders aren't "clocked" right? He made the rear fenders meet the
running boards rather than clocking fenders correctly and modifylng to fit?
I know. I'm an ass.
I guess we should be glad it has fenders. A lot of rats don't.

Re: chopped 1936 panel

nice looking in my opinion. and a plus is that it does NOT have a SBC350.

Unfortunately I'm more than 4 ft tall, so I couldn't drive it. . .
