Cuban half cab IHC truck

Not sure what section to add this to, but here is an odd ball I ran across on the web.

odd, whatever those appendages are above the headlights make it look like I just got a two handed flip off.

It appears that they flip down to provide a front stop for the materials being hauled.

That is for hauling long pieces of steel, like I-beams and rebar for home building. The steel would lay on the edge of the bed and extend past the cab onto those brackets for support. When the driver got to the job site, he could use a long pry bar and flip the piece off onto the ground. New definition for curb side delivery. IH made those trucks with the narrow cabs up into the 90's.
