1949 KBS-5 Rescued Truck

I bought the truck to replace the wounded engine in my 1949 KB1. Now I have decided that it would be wrong to scrap this truck for that purpose.
I enjoy the "fixing" part, so I will wait and see what the "what for" turns out to be. Perhaps shorten the frame and put my pickup box on it. A 1-1/2 ton dually sounds interesting, if not very practical. But I don't work on this stuff to be practical.

That's my dream for my KB-6. when I got it, it had a 14 foot frame/bed, my friend helped me cut it to shortest factory wheel base they came in, it has a little under 10 foot bed now,
I want to have bed sides made and narrow the flatbed put them on it with a set of front fenders modified for it,

I have a mint condition KNOX tailgate for it too. a 2 ton pickum up.

just gotta convince the wife a 10 foot pick up box is more important than kitchen cabinets

That sounds like what I have in mind!
