I posted this up once before, several months ago. I can't believe the guy still has it! The ad has popped up again this week:

http://waco.craigslist.org/cto/3647720260.html

West, TX is just north of Waco, about an hour north of my location. If any board members are interested in this truck I might be willing to retrieve it and store it for a negotiated fee. I have a nice car hauler with a winch, I could have it loaded up in a jiff.

combine that one with the one FourPaws has and you would be set.

just north of Seattle, WA. pretty far,,,,

there is a guy listing one for $500.00,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but it's in Fairbanks Alaska!!! just as far the other way,

if this one was a runner I'd fly down & drive it home, I have 2 rebuilt heads in my garage,

don't think they'd let me carry a silver diamond head on the plane though

It would cost me about $1500 worth of fuel to haul it up there and drive back, give or take. If you could find a more reasonable priced shipper I would be willing to help facilitate it on this end. I could go get it and bring it home and get it cleaned up a bit, make sure it rolls good (put some tires on it that hold air, etc) and get the parking brake working, etc.

I feel confident that fixing it good enough to make a 2500 mile road trip is probably very wishful thinking. It's probably been sitting with the head off the engine since before I was born....lol. Nevermind the condition of the brakes and rest of the running gear. lol

I decided to email this guy and get his phone number again. I think I am at least going to go look at this thing so I can get a better idea what kinda shape it's really in. I am liable to come home with it. :|

unless the other side is creamed in I wouldn't leave without it for that price.

if you don't buy it, can you let me know how lower rockers are all the way a round and if rear doors are rotted out on the bottom,

front doors and front clip are not a big deal, same as pickum up, it's the ass end of these that is tough to find in decent shape.

may still be tempted, the one in Alaska is pretty rough.
