I remember seeing "Big Foot" in the 70's at a truck show in Denver. Monster trucks were in their infancy and pretty much a novelty at the time. Other than crushing parked cars the use for them seems limited.

yea, back then they were real vehicles modified, now they are a tube frame with axles and a 1 piece plastic body,

I just watched a YouTube video last night about the building of a CAT pulling tractor. From the looks of it, the hood may be OEM, but modified. Tube frame, heavily modified driveline, nothing else off of a real tractor, just like the monster trucks. I do like to watch a little of both genres, but a little goes a long way.
