C Series Shortbox

Not too bad looking C series pickup shortbox stepside here in Sask. Owner is taking offers. I.D. plate says it has the big 264 six cylinder. They guessed the year wrong but no big deal.

I hope he is not using the 12,000 as starting bid for taking offers!

Save the tailgate and maybe the box. Scrap the remainder.

I've always liked the C series pickups. Their front end and instrument panel were much nicer than the A or even my B series. Its got a little "eyebrow" rust and the typical fender in front of the door rust. That shortbox must be quite collectible. Especially with the indent in the fender for the spare. I've seen those tail gates listed for pretty good money on ebay. No, I'm not going to buy it though. Got enough going on to keep me busy.

You just have to use your imagination. This is what it could be.

Imagination is about all I've got to work with here. Nice looking Merc but they forgot the stainless strips around the front fenders that differentiate a Ford from a Mercury truck in 49.
