That's going to be quite a project if anyone is dedicated enough to try. I wouldn't know how to even begin without at least some of the old wood to use as a pattern/guide.

There is a company on Vancouver Island that will restore a woody or convert just about any car into a wood wagon. If I can find the video I will post a link. The video was released by the local television station. They were doing a local intrest story.
I was told $50 000 would not be enough.

Ok, may be I'm being a bit crass, but no where does it state it was restored, so he had this old woody that might have been worth 50K if unrestored but complete condition, what is shown there wouldn't be worth $500. Either he didn't have it insured (possible if un restored but complete) or did and is now trying to "double dip", either way one would have to be nuts to think anyone would spend much for that hulk.

There is a company, Hercules Motor Car Co. in Tampa, Fl. that specializes in ‘33, ‘34 &’37 Ford woodies. All high dollar, but beautiful products. Whether they would take on an orphan project is doubtful, but if they did, it’d be a beautiful vehicle without a doubt. If someone was crazy enough to buy this pile for 50k and then put another 100k+ into bringing it back to life, they’d have a really expensive, rare woodie.

When I see those dented fenders, I find it hard to believe it was restored. I think somebody has visions or dreams of $$$$$.

Heat of fire and collapsing buildings can put dents where there weren't any, but I tend to believe they were there before the fire.
Depending on damage to the running gear, how hot the fire was, whether the springs and any hardened metal was weakened, $50 may be more reasonable. What it may become, and what it was before are immaterial to what it is now.

Maybe these guys will buy it.

it really is toasted. The front section would make a nice piece of artwork somewhere, that's about it.
