55' 6x6 International

I was searching on random craigslist pages and came across this beast. Don't know what you could do with it, but thought it was worth sharing.

Not sure where they got their information, but that is NOT a '55. '45 maybe, if that.

Hmmm. Curious. Looks like maybe a cab swap on a military chassis? If so, it is pretty well done. Never seen a non-military 6x IH before. Has anyone else?
"How the heck did that happen?"

Definitely a KB cab and nose. I counted only 5 ribs going across from center grill on each side.

Re: 55' 6x6 International

I have heard that International titled the trucks the year they were sold, not the year they were built. So it is possible for it to be titled as a 55 but had been built a number of years earlier and just was not sold until 55.

Re: 55' 6x6 International

I know some states used to give the model year designation to the year a new vehicle was titled. I don't believe that was an IH practice.
