Re: Donations to help support OldIHC

For all who have contributed so far, Thank you! It really helps to keep the site on going.

For those who may not have done so, think about this to understand some of the costs related to this site.
What does it cost you for your internet service?
What kind of things do you have to contend with in regards to your computer and programs?
If you choose, you can contribute to the running of this site, ALL monies are used strictly for the site.
Jim puts in many hours of Programing time on the site and has put in many dollars of his own money over the years.

Again, Thanks to all for being Members of this Forum, We welcome all.

These are my thoughts and I am Lloyd Bledsoe Have a wonderful Holiday Season!

Jim/Lloyd,

Is there rough dollar amount that still needs to be raised? Perhaps with a visible number it might be easier to get that covered... Just a thought.

Jake

Jim was getting close to having enough to just cover the hosting costs for the site but he still needs more donations to be able to do the upgrades that he wants to do to make the site even better for us all.

So the more donations he gets the better everything will be for all of us.

As Lloyd said earlier all donations go back into making our home here a nicer place to be.

Re: Donations to help support OldIHC

This site is amazing!
I glad to hear there are others interested in old IH trucks like me. Not just one of the big 3. Also good to be educated by fellow Friends here. Being only 35 years old, I feel left behind in experience.

I'm very grateful for Jim's hard work here. This site has been down before and I've missed it greatly.
Someday I'll have my 53 on the road and I'll owe it to this site!

I know my donation helps everyone here.

Thank you all

Hey, wait a minute. I responded to another guilt ridden request and made my donation just before Xmas, 2015. I will check my PayPal history.

Re: Donations to help support OldIHC

This site is fully paid for by Jim himself as he is retired I think asking for a small amount from users is a reasonable request. This is Part of Jims hobby and if we all give a little then maybe he to can enjoy it fully like the rest of us do.

He is not looking at buying a cattle ranch here just enough to pay for the upkeep so we can all enjoy.

Re: Donations to help support OldIHC

It actually does not really matter when a donation is made, Jim applies them all to the upkeep on the Site. Some costs come at certain times of the year, such as Fall for the Hosting company for the Forum section. Other costs, such as software/hardware are at different times. I Know that Jim appreciates all Donations, no matter what amount.
Shoot, most of us have a small "guilty pleasure" that we could do with out spending money on once or twice a year. Even if it were just the cost of a pack of gum by every member, it would all go to cover costs. Jim is Well aware that some can not really afford, which is why he has a donation button in a couple of places, and has resisted the call from folks like me to establish a minimal membership fee.

ALL ARE WELCOME, ANY WHO MAKE DONATIONS ARE APPRECIATED.

Re: Donations to help support OldIHC

There was another "project" for Matt's Dump truck. If I remember, donations were requested for that project. What happened?
