State of Affairs

It's getting towards the end of the year, and I wanted to let everyone know where we stood with expenses for OldIHC.
Expense expected:
$125 for hosting on godaddy (where these forums are now)
$125 for hosting on the other domains where I keep the other parts of OldIHC.
My thanks to the two people who have made donations to date: $45.00
Upcoming advertising income: $200
It's tight, but it looks like we will make it.

If you can make a donation, I would appreciate it.

Jim

Great effort in keeping this fantastic forum free for all of us to use and I for one have found it an invaluable source of information and the friends I have meet worldwide who share my same passion for the oldihc brand.
I know times are real tight for most of us at the moment and I'm sure every $ counts but lets all dive just a little way into our pockets and donate as much as we can.

Re: State of Affairs

Trevor,

Thank you so much for your very generous donation. Knowing that there are people who really do appreciate our efforts is what helps us keep going. I think that is why I wanted to retire fro OldIHC many years ago. Too many became complacent and took everything we did for granted.

Re: State of Affairs

How much more would it cost to host the site if pictures are hosted by the site, rather than offsite(photobucket, etc.)?

I think that the site is great but it is a hassle to put things on photobucket....and when sites die, or change how they work then all the pictures die, and a lot of posts become kinda meaningless.

I'm not trying to complain, just wondering the cost involved.

Jim,
I don't use paypal but would like to make a small donation. If you could give me a mailing address and who to make the check out to, I'll send a check.
