Forums

I have spent quite a bit of time with Lloyd working out a good structure for our forums.
I re-structured some existing forums, and implemented several new ones this morning.
Please let me know if this new structure/organization is ok.
Thanks.

Re: Forums

Jim, how about adding a parts source forum for each series of truck. Something like the thread that was available in the KB Forum It was very handy.

Re: Forums

I also used the part links in the LRS form, it was a great help, like to see it continue.

Re: Forums

I can add "Parts Link" as sub-forum to each model truck, similar to what I did with the "hot rod" sub-forums if that is ok??

Re: Forums

I created a "Parts Link" under the K - KB forums.
Is this ok?

Re: Forums

I was trying to retire and have less involvement in OldIHC up until the past few months When John took a full time + job.
Since I did not see the Parts Link on the old forums, I am not real sure how it worked.
Hence the questions that I have been asking.
And another question on the "Parts Link" forums....

Is this a place for questions and answers or just the links with descriptions for various suppliers?
I see a great need for a suppliers list without any conversation in this list.
I had something like this years ago as an article or post on the main site. It was not in the forums.

Re: Forums

Jim,
It was a topic that was not intended to have conversation, but just contain part numbers and parts sources. It was pinned at the top the respective forum- k and kb, lrs, etc.

Hope this helps,

Re: Forums

How did you get here?
Do you go directly to http://oldihc.org/phpBB3/index.php or do you go to http://oldihc.org and then click on "Truck Talk"
If you were doing the latter of the two, I changed it. The use of the wide screen format for our forums is MUCH better than being scrunched into the middle of the main site theme.
Comments, questions and remarks are all accepted. :geek:

Re: Forums

Thank you for switching to the wide screen format I find it more effective than the skinny middle of the page was.
