Hello, i have a 1953 int r110 and the temp gauge reeds hot even before be install in veh. Anybody seen this before?

Normal for the gauge. King Seeley gauges used in IHC all read "hot' when not powered.

I think the temperature gauge is acting like a side-line coach. It is telling the engine, "Come on, you can do it."
I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have
