A Girl and a 1950 L110

Hi My name is Michelle!
I picked up an all original 1950 L110. It runs and drives great my oldest son and I had some fun with it last summer as he is trying to teach
me how to drive a 3 on the tree. we live in Alberta Canada. I had to join the forum as i have found a great deal of information on here, to a lot of the questions I had
about restoring my Truck. I want to keep it as original as possible. One advantage I have is i live 1 hour from an awesome place to get original parts. Old International Trucks. They have an online store. looking forward to posting and asking questions. this Summer will be about restoration. getting all the mechanicals
spruced up so to speak.

I used to live in Alberta. Welcome to the madness. You must be close to Lethbridge.

Re: A Girl and a 1950 L110

I like the drive west of Lethbridge through the Crow's Nest. The 1903 Frank Slide is still mind boggling. I was driving through Lethbridge in the 1960's, the day after a larger Ford dealership burned down. I still remember big posters in the showroom windows advertising "HOT DEALS ON NEW FORDS".
Lethbridge was original called Coalbanks. The name changed in 1885. This is one of my favorite places in Canada. Medicine Hat is near the top of my list.

I enjoy Lethbridge too. I used to live in the crowsnest pass. I could look out at the frank slide from my backyard. Thank you for the information on Lethbridge. I never knew that Lethbridge has another name. I will post some more pictures once i get going on my Truck.

Since you are on Alberta you should check out http://www.ihc38.com

There are many members in western Canada, helps with finding parts. You would be surprised how many IHC old trucks there are around.

I am from Edmonton, and have a 53 R110 and 45 K3
