Welcome to you and the fleet ! What motor is in the 7 , a 269 ? Not sure about the plugs for that but J-8 is in a lot of them I think . Here is a link to all the information you will need , Irish Mike used to spend a lot of time here and made this Library of information that is pretty amazing . When I looked at it just now to copy the link LOW AND BEHOLD , it has been UPDATED !!

Can't thank Mike enough !
Where are You and your trucks at , I'm in Virginia with a KBS 6

Re: 1947 kb7 spark plugs

Maybe a [ Black Diamond ] BD 308 , not what came in them but a common upgrade .Thats what is in mine , you will find info for that motor at Mikes site /top of page 2 , MT-98, R 170 thru RC-184 models , When you open that file up the index is at the end , not the beginning . I'm sure others will help with the location for the identification numbers location on the motor, the distributer on a 308 sets up real high on the drivers side

Engine numbers are STAMPED between #1 and #2 cyl on the block just below the head/block parting line on the left (drivers) side of the engine.

Re: 1947 kb7 spark plugs

To use the later BD 308 in a K the oil filter has to be relocated from the side of the block to some other location to clear the steering gear. There are about as many ways to do it as there are BD's in a K.
