Does anyone know where I could get rod bearings for a 214 GD engine? I hade to have the crankshaft turned and I need .10 under bearings. This is out of a 1942 KB series pickup. The motor was free and I have gotten .30 over pistons, new valves, OH gasket kit only thing holding me up now are the rod bearings. I am restoring this back to as orginal as possible and am looking for some other parts as well.
Radiator, front bumper, gas tank. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

A little late now, but when working on vintage stuff, NEVER machine 1st and go looking for a size, look at what is available, and have the parts machined to that spec. It is the opposite to building a modern engine, when you want to machine to the least possible undersize.
Try Olsen gasket for gasket kits. Others may have help for bearings.

Thanks Dean for Tom's lead. he had the .10 under rod bearings plus a NOS set of valves for that engine all at a very good price. He gave me some leads on some other items I am needing to locate.
This forum is great.

ks ihc guy, glad you were able to find your bearings. Because of this thread and Dean's lead to Tom Underwood, I too was able to find bearings for my SD240. I called Tom for .020 under mains and lo and behold he had them. Nice guy and great price.
So, thank you Dean.
Dennis
