Hello from Minnesota

Just got myself a 66 1100A stepside that's been sitting in my father-in-law garage for 10 years. In Montana. Before that my brother in law had it and wanted to "fix it up". He didn't do a whole lot to it. Anyways he got it from a private party who used it back in the woods and mountains. Before that we think it was a forestry truck. Can nearly see the sign on the door thru the old paint. So I hauled it back to Minnesota and I now have it running. I'm repairing the mechanical's before tackling the body. Very few dents and hardly no rust. The floor boards needs patching. And all the rubber and soft bits are shot. But this thing has real steel in it! I have it running and stopping and doing most of the things it should be. I signed up on here by suggestion from a different forum to ask a few questions and some help from some old pro's! Thanks in advance for any help I receive! I've been wrenching for most of my life in one way or the other. And can do almost any task I've set my mind to. So this should be a great project for me and the wife.

Re: Hello from Minnesota

I'll have to take a pic tomorow. All the pics I have are too large to upload. And it's pouring rain yet again. (Wondering if I had moved to Washington) the wife loves the stance and the body lines. We just have to agree on a color.

You can resize pics with Paint or a photo editing program. I usually downsize to 40%

That's great you have a wife that likes to restore with you ! You are in the land of old internationals , my truck came from Dawson , there is a great junkyard out that way also . Lots of resources near by .

Re: Hello from Minnesota

As it was "found" in an insulated sheet rocked garage for the past 10 years.
