Greetings from New Mexico. Im Jerry and came across the coolest old Truck. I joined to get help with the latest of too many projects. My guess is it is pre-40s and is a school bus with "Santa Fe Indian School" on the side. Will be happy to post a couple pictures for helping me figure out what it is and how to get it running and rolling and stopping. I just can't seem to figure out how to post pictures yet, but just noticed the upload attachments tab.

Some one will have better info, perhaps, but see if you can find a DATA tag on it, might be in the engine compartment. Also see if you can find a stamped chassis number on the driver side rail from front axle forward. Was probably hand stamped so might be faint and covered in crud from years of use of vehicle. Do NOT Sand that area, you might "make" the chassis number disappear. Think it might be some version of a D model

It's a IHC D-series. 1937-1940.
1940s had a seperate park light. So probably 1937-1939.
All the D-series buses I've seen have been D-35s.
Easy to tell if D-30 or D-35: D-35 came with OHV six. D-30 came with flathead 6.
Yes, they are cool.
I have only seen these buses made by Gillig/ Langlois. But that's because I live in California.

DO NOT, under any circumstances, paint over or otherwise remove or obliterate "Santa Fe Indian School".
That's over the top cool!

Honestly, that's a piece of history.
Maybe not "happy history".

Here's my D-30 patiently waiting in the shed for my plans.
It hasn't been driven since 1974.
