Newbe-have a 1947 KB1

Recently acquired a 47 KB 1 barn find. Been in storage for years and am keeping it original. Will post pics in time
Glad I found the site. It's already been very helpful.

MY 1947 296014.jpg
Here's one pic I have of the truck pulled out of the guy's garage 1st time in 17 years. I bought it from him last month when I went to haul it home. It's now up on my hoist in the shop out back. oops..2 showed up. I'll figure this out

Thanks, it does have it's issues like scrapes etc. but overall it was WHAT I was looking for to fix up to go to swap meets and town once in awhile.
Have a engine starting crank coming but don't know where the bracket that you thread it through up front mounts. Anyone know or should I open a proper post

The starting crank is generally something you want to avoid. That's my view, anyway.

Re: Newbe-have a 1947 KB1

I believe the bracket fastened to the bumper, but not sure. It did help to stabilize the handle when cranking. Good for show, and if properly used can start an engine. Not the most fun way to start one. In the past, I had started my 46 chevy with my crank. Your truck is in great looking shape to most seen when bought.
