New guy

Hi there!

A few years back, I impulsively bought a 1969 Loadstar 1600. I still can't for the life of me answer why, but I do love it.

Here's a picture from the day I brought it home...

Obviously not in perfect shape, but it gets from point A to point B. I'm just now settling down to give it some attention mechanically: fixing leaks, replacing gaskets, hoses, etc.

This board has already been a big help perusing the already existing threads and manuals posted. Thanks!

Re: New guy

Welcome to the group, for the larger trucks, I like that style. I am more a small truck guy. If it does what you want, when you want, then, hopefully it was a good deal for you.

I often think Old IHC trucks look like big ClayMation puppy dogs. I like your truck, it looks like Wallace . Welcome.

Re: New guy

Thanks for the welcome.

The Loadstar has actually has led me to have a slight obsession with older IHs, I wouldn't mind a 1/2-1 ton truck to drive around in. But I am doing my best to keep my projects limited.

Ahh, the old addiction bug bites, and then morphs into the Addition bug! Lots of us know it well! It is wise to keep it under control, That helps keep peace in the house.
