new to the forum with a 1951

hey guys im new here, I have a 1951 l120, got a few things coming in soon such to replace and then going to be doing the paint on it this summer, runs like a dream, been lowered to the ground, beautiful white walls. will post pics tomorrow. looking forward to learning a lot, I know I will have questions. I think my fav about the vehicle is the rear split windows, the way the hood opens, how she sounds like a harley, the beautiful white wall, how low it sits, and my big original steering wheel lol. I'm active duty, in the OKC area.

looks good! body work is already underway! My friend Brad is working on one like it, but still needs lots of work. My B-body needs an engine rebuild---probably in Spring.

Re: new to the forum with a 1951

If I remember correctly, someone on the site, about a year ago or so, had taken white letter tires and buffed them down to make white walls. Think it was determined that there was not much "black" covering the white layer. Dang this old memory, shoot it may not have even been on this site. Anyone else remember?
