Craziness abounds

I'm still kicking and just as crazy as ever. For those newbies that don't know me, I'm a semi retired mechanic and proud owner of 2 1953 Internationals. An R 130 and an R160 both needing some serious mechanical repair. Engines need overhauled and the R 130 needs some attention to brakes(This I am working on a different approach for a disc brake conversion).

What approach are you using on your disc conversion? I seem to remember a guy in Englend on the old forum that was using some F@rd discs from a small sedan that had the same bolt pattern.

I picked up a pair of hubs from an old L110 and turned them so they fit inside an Explorer rotor, I also intend on using the calipers, and brackets from the Explorer as I have them lying around in my garage. The only thing left is getting some heavy plate to make a bracket to attach them. Fortunately a friend of mine has a machine shop and allows me to scrounge metal when I need it. As soon as it is warm enough in my garage I intend to get fabricating on the brackets and set it all up.
