New owner

The other weekend after driving by an old truck in a field near the road I stopped and turned around to take a look just as the owner walked out of the house. He showed me a round the truck and his old Fords (he has 3 from 46 and back) I told him I would think on it and the next morning bought it. She's missing basically everything under the hood, but the interior is complete and the sheet metal and frame isn't too bad. I got a Chevy 350 in the deal so I may go with that as the power plant.

This has prompted me to clean out my garage and revamp the 3rd stall into the car mechanic stall I always wanted it to be. I'm just finishing the electrical runs and will finish insulating the walls and putting the OSB up tomorrow and Friday. Saturday the truck should be in the stall on dollies.

I'll probably need a lot of help. I have some resources on general car stuff and a Chevy 350 guy (father in laws friend) but a full truck restore is a bit more than anyone I know has tackled.

Take lots of pictures, you will never regret it. I took 21,000 pictures of the build of my 1940 Ford. I wish I had taken more pictures of some of the details.
It will be difficult to not have a good time with your project.

We should start construction on the 32x40 2 story shop in a few months. Then I can move my heavy equipment home finally. Lots of metal working and wood working tools in storage right now.
