My 1949 L110

Hello yall this is Vic from Houston, Tx. humbly introducing my 1949 International L110 (that's what the previous owner claimed it was anyway, and thats how its registered). I acquired her as a trade back in 2011 and have driven her not as much as I would like frankly because of the old technology, i.e manual drum brakes, no ac, manual steering which I believe is so cool but not for a daily driver!
Apparently it was somewhat restored a while back. It has the sd220, 3ontree, looks like original diff as well and yes they all leak.
The interior was carpeted with that grey speaker carpet with no heat/sound insulation below it. The seat is in very good restored shape. Overall its a very decent truck but want to make some upgrades like suspension, ac, and electric steering. I just replaced the carb and cleaned/sealed rusty fuel tank. Gave up on the flimsy original gas pedal linkage and modified a cable linkage and love it so much better!!
Just took it out for a test drive last night around the subdivision after almost 2 1/2 years when Hurricane Harvey flooded her! She did so well. Idles smooth, picked up nicely, brakes grab really good almost too good. Locked up tires when braking quickly. I did replaced a leaky wheel cylinder as well.
Anyways I joined this forum in 2012 then it got hacked and I just didnt come back until now.
Im glad I did cuz it has grown with invaluable info so much. See yall around... and we all love pics so here's some
