New Metro Owner in CT

Hi everyone, new Metro owner here (A120) in CT. I'm going to try my hand at some body work and painting, although it doesn't seem like there's a ton of rust repair to do. Fuel pump needs to be rebuilt and the PO said the engine runs but smokes and likely needs a rebuild (he mentioned a wristpin?)... Anyway, I knew I was buying a bit of a project but pickings are slim in this part of the country!
Looking forward to learning here,
Michael

That METRO wants to go to my place. Really nice. AND, welcome to the madness.

Nikki, I would arm wrestle you for a shorty. Still know where my old one is.

I am doing my absolute best to not take your post out of context, there, Lloyd. Opportunity lost. :haha:

Haha, thanks... I'm curious, are shorty's more rare? Obviously desirability comes down to personal preference, but I'm wondering from a production #s perspective. Also, is there any discernible difference in value? I honestly just bought what was closest to me in the best shape I could find, and didn't have much of a preference between the longer or shorter models. I am digging the size of mine though, because I don't need anything bigger and I feel like once I'm using it, it'll be a good size for parking, maneuvering around town, etc.

Re: New Metro Owner in CT

Boy did I set myself up for that, thanks for not taking the shot.
As for desirability of short Metros over long ones, I think, for the same reason you stated, easier to maneuver into parking spots. When you get the chance, take a look at this thread: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1355
Kick myself everyday for getting rid of mine.
Looking forward to your build!
