Re: TX 1952 L-120 Corps of Engineers
I am curious about the Ford / Cummins combination. Is this a Ford option engine? I usually associate Cummins with Ram trucks and Powerstroke V8 with Ford. Maybe this is one of those situations where different countries have different engines.
My friend uses 24 valve Cummins power in his custom built pickups. He prefers the "L" for the extra room ahead of the radiator and behind the grill for an intercooler.
The Cummins 24 valve just fits the pickups, no firewall cutting required.
My friend always builds the frames for his Cummins - Cornbinder pickups. He uses 6X2 steel tube with welded in crossmembers. The frame can be a simple ladder design with straight sides that are wider at the back and taper to the front.
