First Timer

Hello, My name is Scott. I'm relieved I found this forum. I am the new owner of a 1950 L-162. I purchased the truck in MO, last June and hauled it back to Michigan. The engine runs with no smoke and shifts and drives. Stopping was another story. Good thing the hand brake worked. I now have the truck disassembled. I am currently working on pulling and smoothing the various dings and dents when its warm enough in the barn. My plans are to get paint the frame and as soon as I have consistent warm days.

Re: First Timer

Welcome, Scott! Looks like you've got a pretty solid truck there. I've been messing with an L-162 as well. I've been though the brakes on mine so if you have any questions, just ask. You can see mine here: viewtopic.php?f=55&t=3021

Re: First Timer

Welcome to the site. Nice truck! Looks like it's fairly straight and has little rust.
