Need engine hauled from BC or north Washington to Portland O

I have a Lycoming truck engine 500-600 lbs. That I need transported from Burnaby, BC, Canada (person I'm getting engine from will bring into northern Washington state if that will help) to another OldIHC member near Portland OR, who will store it for me until the ATHS show in May.
Thanks, Bill

Is the engine in Canada or USA? Exporting or importing are often handled differently at the border. A non USA resident could get stuck with some fees. A US resident may not face the same situation.
Moving automotive parts across our shared border can get complicated if proof of origin and or ownership is asked for. A person should be able to provide proof that the parts are legitimate and not stolen.
This was my experience.
I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have

Engine is currently in still in BC.
The seller will bring into US to help out. He has checked with US customs and no issues. He would like to get engine moved ASAP.
Thanks, Bill
