Clutch Pushrod Leak at Master Cylinder

Well I finally got the truck up and running. Took her out and about today and barely managed to limp her home.

I noticed the clutch pedal engagement getting steadily lower until it was practically on the floor. Checked the master cylinder and it was super low, topped it off, then went ahead and checked for leaks but had the same issue with engagement still low. I checked out the clutch pedal push rod and found the master was leaking where it met.

Does it need to be rebuilt? Would it be the AC Delco 18g1228 Mc rebuild kit? If so do I need two kits, one for the brake side and one for the clutch side?

Is it simpler and better to upgrade to a dual MC setup? Currently on a bit of a time constraint as I closed on a house today and am supposed to be moving on Saturday.

I'd take a stab at rebuilding it and see if that fixes it, the last time I bought a rebuild kit it had everything for both sides.

That was my plan. Where did you buy the rebuild kit from? The ones that I've found only have a single piston, not one for the clutch and the brake.

Big A. Hmm, if they are only selling one side or the other you might just go ahead and rebuild just the clutch side. I know that isn't the best advice but honestly if your breaks are good and it is packaged as a separate kit I would be tempted to just rebuild the one side.

hi,
I can't tell from your pictures, but if this is the dual brake / clutch master cylinder you have,

then this would be the rebuild kit you would need ... in my opinion:

Good luck.
