A112 rear u joint help

I'm working on an A112 for a friend. I need to replace the rear u joint and rear pinion seal, but I've been searching online sites and can't come up with part numbers. Does anyone have an a series parts book to help me out?

Thanks guys

Re: A112 rear u joint help

There are two seals. The outer seal is 82246R1, and the inner seal is 79680H. There's a post with cross references that I assume are correct. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3868&hilit=82246R1&start=30

The axle is the same as used in R series, so checking the M-97 online might help.

Driveline parts numbers I always find difficult to narrow down, but I think the rear u-joint for the 110 series is 110860R91. See if NAPA #UJS UJ12134 is what you're looking for.

Re: A112 rear u joint help

Thanks Paul, i appreciate your help. That U joint reference is the "mechanic's style" that my R series has, but this A series i'm working on has a more modern looking traditional style u joint without the mechanic's style straps on it. I figure i'll get it out of there this weekend and spend some time leaning on the local Napa parts counter looking for a match.

I'm never confident I'm looking at the right combination in the driveshaft section, but I just noticed that the MT-104 is online here in the Gangster library. You may have better luck deciphering it.

Re: A112 rear u joint help

My experience was the same as yours I spent hours on line and in the end I took them to NAPA and they measured them and found the correct part. I would give you the numbers but I don't want to lead you down the wrong road. My truck is a 1960 B110 and I'm not sure they would be the same. Good Luck

Re: A112 rear u joint help

Best thing that ever happened, my truck parts supplier gave me a "special" ruler that measures and ID's U joints from the little steering shaft joints to the big ones on my semi's.
Best I can recommend is to ask around for one. Inland Truck Parts was giving them away for free. Shafts and joints can be changed from one style to another over the years, so what it came with may not be what it has now.
I can just about ID a 1670, thru 1800 series by eye, but break out the ruler just in case. The small one I have no clue without the stick.

SKF has an online one that should print out true to size.
