Engine numbers

Hi , Jeff here. Have just picked up a wreck for parts. It has the engine # of 6-281-11199 and the 85346081 , not too sure if it is an 8 at the end. can anyone help me with what motor this is . Thanks

Where are you finding those numbers? The 2nd batch looks like a casting number (cast into the block) engine serial numbers are STAMPED into a pad on the block (left side between 1&2 cyl on the block (not head) near the parting line. for the bigger (Medium and big) sixes.
There are other ways to tell, a picture sure would help.
Also where are you located? Oz got different engines the the North American market.

Will get Photo this coming weekend, just need to remover Hay out of engine bay. Jeff here FromNew Zealand so I suppose it will be Australian #.

might be an OZ 281 which is based on the smaller 6's, something we never had in North America
