1970 1100

First post in a couple of years. I'm thinking about a 1970 2wd 1100. I know it has a V8 but haven't been able to check it out in person. The data plate lists the HP as 160. Which engine would that be? The truck has split rims (widow makers) on it. Would 1970 models still have had them from the factory? Thanks.

Yes on the lock ring wheels, and they are NOT widowmakers, they are lock ring. Widowmakers are Firestone RH 5 deg.
Likely a 345 but I am no expert.

Thanks, I have very little experience with "late model" IHCs. My newest ever was a 1966.
It just seemed odd to me for a light truck to have those wheels in 1970. Would the hubcaps ave been painted?

Early 70's 16" rims were common, by mid to late 70's 16.5 rims (tubeless) were more common and by the mid to late 80's 16" (Metric sized) tubeless radials came available.

Well, I won't be buying that one. The seller raised the price by $300.
