Rain Gutter Replacement

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has had experience repairing / replacing the rain gutter on the cab roof of an A-series or similar. Mine is in bad shape. I am not sure how it is attached (spot welded, etc). I am assuming when the time comes I can try to remove it in sections and fab up a new one and tig it on, but I thought maybe someone here may have been through this before and have a better idea. I attached a photo.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Re: Rain Gutter Replacement

Typically the drip rails are spot welded and seam sealed.
Scrape off the old seam sealer and whatever paint remains and you should be able to see the spot welds.

Re: Rain Gutter Replacement

My IHC part catalogue shows the rain gutter (molding) sandwiched between the roof panel and the pillar assembly ( door jamb) I am sure the pieces are all spot-welded together.
I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have

Re: Rain Gutter Replacement

Thanks guys. My book also shows it as sandwiched between the roof and structure. That's what had me a bit concerned. I'll keep everyone posted as to what I find.
