I'm not quite to the point of needing one just yet, but do you guys have a preferred option when replacing wiring harnesses? I see several universal harnesses online, but have no experience installing one, so I wonder if there are ever any quality issues with them, as well as how well a universal truly fits the truck.
The harness in our A110 is shot, and has been hacked up so much over the years that I need to fully replace it.
Any ideas and opinions are appreciated.

Good one, when I did mine in the early 90s, I replaced one wire at a time, what was needed. I did a search here, wiring harness and went to the last page. In 2013 or so some guys shelled out big bucks from rebel wiring in Maine. I have never used them. Not sure about all the universal ones.

I bought the Painless Performance harness for my 1940 Ford project. The unterminated wires were corroded under the insulation. I called the talking head in the customer disservice department and was assured that it was all my fault. The talking head never asked any questions. I think I may not have been the first customer with corrosion problems.
I have a few ongoing problems that come from the poor quality wiring and the Ford may have to be rewired. This will be a major event because the car has been upholstered. Many of the wires have been replaced, at my expense.
This will be a good opportunity for you to bring an ancient wiring design into the the modern age. If your truck is not a 12 volt system, make the change. You will never regret it.

I used a Coach Controls Coupe 23 wiring system in my '52 L120 and have been very happy with it. Search their website or call Ed Rodden at 423-790-7905.

Hi Bryon, I used Ron Francis on my R152 and am very pleased. I kept my truck 6v and used their universal 6v kit. Yours is probably 12v, so a different kit will probably be needed. The kit was complete, wires all marked, wires were all plenty long, good directions and customer support. Probably not the cheapest but I would use them again.
For loom, I went with WireCare.com.

I like the looks of the Ron Francis kit in the photo. Nice and organized. I'm going to check them out.
