BD240 Engine Mounts

I recently purchased a set of polyurethane engine mounts from Outback Parts in Washington. Does anyone have experience with these? My originals were rubber vulcanized to steel. These new ones are just polyurethane, with no metal components. I emailed Outback and they told me this is OK, and that no metal is needed, etc. They tell me they have used them for years and they work well. I believe them, as they would definitely know, but I am still curious how you guys have made out if you've used them in the past.
More-or-less just curious as they seem so much lighter than the originals.
