A110 / A112 Difference Question

Hi guys,

I have always wondered since we got out 59 A110, and it probably should have been one of the first questions I asked, but do you guys know what the difference between an A110 and an A112 were?
Our truck has A110 fender badges, etc, but the data tag in the door jamb states A112, as does the line setting. I don't see any noticeable differences so far while using the maintenance manual, and I can't find anything online.
Was there much difference, and if so, what was different? I'm confused as usual....

Re: A110 / A112 Difference Question

My IHC parts catalogue shows the 112 having more springs at the rear axle.

Re: A110 / A112 Difference Question

A11x is the basic model the 2 means it has slightly heavyer springs. the A110 badges are correct, there are no A112 badges, the next size is A120.

Re: A110 / A112 Difference Question

Interesting. I'm surprised they would use another model number just for the springs.
I appreciate the info. I have been wondering about this since we bought it.

What engine dose yours have.
My R112 has the 110 badges with an Sd240 engine, long bed and the extra springs.
