1958 IH A120

I recently purchased a 1958 IH A120. It has the single headlights and 57/58 grill. It does have four wheel drive and a small V-8. A corrected title was issued stating it's a 59. Did any 58s come with four wheel drive and a V-8? I have the line setting build order that shows it rolled off the line June 16th, 1958. VIN SA104558A - the 58A means 1958 A series correct?

Welcome to the site. Yes. That's correct. 58A is a reference to its designation as an A Series. You have a desirable truck. Any pictures?

No, the "SA104558A" is the truck serial number. The six digits "104558" are simply a series of digits that denotes the truck serial number for that model year that started at 501 in that era.
The "A" signifies the GWV range of the truck, which is 10,000 lbs. or less. This letter annotation is no longer used.
Your truck is a 1958 model year.

SA in front means Springfield plant, not sure on A at end of serial number, never heard of A being used as weight class, can you cite source on that?
not questioning you, just like to learn new stuff, 104558 means truck was made in 57 as start number for January 58 was 124385 according to Wisconsin database,

International changed models mid year so that could be the case 1958 model being produced in mid/late 57 for sale in 58,

Wisconsin page on these trucks is iffy, hand written, but I think they try to be accurate,

1958 IHC A120. Needs some mechanical work. Going to leave the paint and patina as is.
