Torque for lugs on split rims

I wrote the message on Sept 21 asking about split rims. Finally got the tire repaired and back on the rim. A long process. What should the torque be for the lugs on the rim? See photo. 1938 IH DS30 1 1/2 ton.

Re: Torque for lugs on split rims

For modern trucks pre -121
5/8" studs 160-180 ft lbs
3/4 studs 215-225 ft lbs
That being said, I believe that the early trucks use 1/2 or 9/16 bolts so one would expect to be less.
The K service manual list torque for disk wheels ( Budd's) but for spokes it only says clean and tight.
I would limit to what a common torque chart states for that dia and thread.
With spoke wheels it is the taper and not the nut that provides the attachment force.

Good looking wheel, by the way. A favorite.
