D-200 clutch issue.

During the restoration all the clutch components were replaced.
Been hard to get in gear ever since. About the only way to get it in reverse is to get it one of the other gears then quickly pop it out of that gear into reverse.
There is no more adjustment left under the truck to help with this issue
I was not around when all that was put together.
My question: Is there any adjustment on the cable end up under the dash?
The is only a clevis junction on the lower end.
Thanks for any and all advise.

Re: D-200 clutch issue.

Is there a chance that the transmission was left to hang on the clutch disc during installation? If this happened, the clutch disc may have been bent at the spline causing the disc to want to not run true. This situation will cause the clutch to drag and act like in the way you describe.

I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have
Thinking risks being controversial and possibly being offensive

Re: D-200 clutch issue.

I was not there when the transmission was stabbed and the guy that did it is not around any more.
Would running the bolts towards the throw out bearing help at all?
It is a 3 finger clutch and those 3 bolts have some room to be screwed towards the T/O bearing.
I just hate the thought of having to tear it all back apart given It does not have a 1,000 miles on the clutch.
Appreciate the come back.

Re: D-200 clutch issue.

If your talking about the lever pivot adjusting bolts, DO NOT mess with them. They are set when the cover is assembled so the pressure plate is pulled even. You start playing with them you are going to make things worse.
