Hey Manfred, good to here from you, ive not been on for a while, just lurking in the back ground. I must admit i do like the look of yours, all raised up on fat rubbers. I took your idea on the wheels as well, made me realize how bad mine looked so i gave them a fresh coat of paint...well primer for now, i'll have to take a photo and drop it on. Luke

A bit of a long winded way, but i didnt want to mess around with the suspension so i cut the floor of the bed out and then lowered it over the chassis. A few cut outs here and there and then fitted a wooden floor. I think i only have about 4 leafs in my spring so i was unsure about how many to remove. I was hoping to lower the front by about 3 1/2 inches. My shocks are just about shot so i do need some new ones. How much did you lower yours by and how many leafs did you remove?

I also removed leafs, leaving the two longest. This brought it down 3 1/2 inches front and back.

I made the skirts, plywood forms, sheetmetal, hammers and lots of C clamps. Painted to match and then "aged" the paint ( paint on rust spots and put a few matching scratches). It was easier than I thought it would be and changes the whole character of the truck.

Hi,
Infound a couple of color specs that may be of use for you.

They are Tropical Lavender and Pink Coral, both for 1960.

About the engine type, you can find it in the front right side of the engine between the water pump and the manifold.

I attached two photographs for the colors and one for the engine.

Hope this helps.
