Crown Vic Front End

I have a ‘63 step side parts truck (no engine or tranny) that someone has installed a Crown Vic front end on. I bought it for the body, but just curious if anyone has done such a conversion?

Re: Crown Vic Front End

Maybe you should Google Crown Victoria front suspension swap. Many of the members of this forum are too conservative to venture that far away from buying a direct fit kit.
The Crown Vic swap is a good system. The transplant will take a little fabrication, but it is not all that daunting.
Thirty or more years ago, the not well accepted but doable front suspension swap was the Dodge Diplomat. The Diplomat suspension was as close to a fit as the Crown Vic. My friend Jim was one of the first that I knew of and after his wheels did not fall off there was a small parade to the Dodge recycler for the torsion bar package. Jiim installed his Dip suspension in a 1956 Ford pickup. The Ford is very much like and Old IHC. The tin sits on a straight ladder frame.
