Start of 1210 Rebuild/Refurbish

Hey all,
Working on another IH but figured I'd start on this one too since its in the back yard and I can't help my curiosity. Picked it up at an estate sale. Guy died in 2008 and estate had been in court until this past weekend. From what I found in the truck he used it to haul firewood and pole timber back and forth to the mill. All fluids were topped off, hairs still on tires, it was parked sealed and locked up. Put some fresh gas in the carb and whammo started right up and purred. 1971 1210 Camper Special 4x4 with 392. Perfectly good hunt truck as it sits but going to do some more body work practice before I move to my next project so this is a perfect candidate. Porn to follow with questions.

Some OEM stickers. Curious to know if the yellow sticker in the cab in standard or additional? Reason I ask is it looks like there are some factory mounted speakers and box but not sure if they are add on or not.

Choke level, labeled but missing. Does this mean possibly an added on electric choke? Have not jumped into engine bay in depth yet?

From the door jam sticker, the truck was built as a "Camper special" designed to haul a slide in camper, the height would have been filled in by the camper mfg.
The black speaker was for a radio and the cream was a intercom between the camper and cab, looks like a Radio Shack product popular back in the 70's

As to the choke, by the 70's automatic chokes were mandated by emissions requirements on light duty trucks. The same cab or dash could have been used on a heavier truck (1500) that may have had a cable choke.

Looks good in the pic's. Out of curiousity I wonder if the LST is intact on the backside of the glove compartment? TO find out there are 2 clips on each side, push them in to flip it open all the way, that's where they put them on the "10 series". If not and you didn't happen to get one with the trucks papers I suggest getting one.
The LST should also show whether the truck was built with an auto. choke or not, although I don't really see someone changing it over as it would have been costly even back in the 70's. Those 4bbl Holley's used on the 392 were pricey new.

Since I opened it,here's a link to the MT-124 parts manual at Irish Mike's...
