345 / 727 into 63 1/2 ton

I have a 63 1/2 ton short bed with the torsion bar front suspension, 6 cylinder and a 3 speed manual. I have found a 345 out of a Scout with a 727 that I am planning to swap into the truck. I have not dug into the conversion yet, but have a couple questions. Do I need to locate a truck / 2 wheel drive oil pan without the hump in the middle and the 2 drain plugs? Second is there a cross member addition that I need to do to mount the engine (front mount) in the frame? From a quick look it appears that the 6 cylinder mounts differently than the 8? I have not pulled the 6 yet...the 8 is in getting a going through by an IH guy and the 727 is as well by a local trans guy. Any insight on this swap would be appreciated. Would also like to convert to power steering......thanks for your help!

Go on line to the above link and contact Rod, the owner. He will likely know what fits what. Rod is one of the good guys and a supporter of IHC events.
