Do a google search for your area for a truck repair shop, lots of the trucks have their brakes relined. If the shop does not do it, then they may be able to tell you where to go. Try a couple of shops, Might even be a reline shop in your area. Others will probably have suggestions for shops they have used.

If you don't find a reputable place I have a few links.

Did you buy relined shoes and if so what's the part number? I come up with them being 11 x 3 (265 industry base number).

In the Eastern Iowa area,I found Sadler Power Train. They have bulk brake linings, and custom trim to fit. Thanks To Lloyd, and Scottso, for the help!

That's a good place to know about Bill,I found their sire and bookmarked it. Also checked out what lines they carry and thru it found a clutch catalog when I Googled the brand. I've found quite a few doing that.

Finally got around to it,and got the right drum off,and shoes ready for clean-up/paint. once that step is finished,I'll send them to Sadler's Power Train, for the re-line. I'll post some pic's,of the shoes when i get them back.

Re: 1972 1110 4X4

Bill, I have been trying my best, for the last couple of days, to recall all the details I can of a picture of a truck much like you describe you would like to have. I had access to it image before this site, and my computer, crashed at unrelated times. The truck was about a '66 1300 or 1500 model, with 3 axles. Each axle had deep dish rims expected for duallys, but used the 6 lug rim pattern. The front axle had locking hubs, and both rears looked to be driving axles. A picture of the interior showed a main transmission and transfer case shifter, plus what looked like a PTO shifter (it had an impressive wrecker bed on the back). As much as I could tell, there wasn't anything to control the rearmost axle engaging. If it was basicly a 4X4 with a tag axle, would that be enough to get you your bragging rights? Assuming that is your goal, of course. I have a '66 1500A model with a 14,000 GVW rating, perhaps that was the truck's starting point? Wish I knew more, so I could share it. Hopefully I gave you some ideas to pursue. Bill

Re: 1972 1110 4X4

Got the shoes back from Sadler's,but they had them "Bonded",not riveted. They blasted,powder-coated the hardware, and installed the new linings, for about $145.00. a little pricey, but at least I'll have brakes! Way cheaper than a liability suit! Thanks for the idea,Bill! Tag axle good for looks,(if done correctly),but twin-screw 1-ton's are AWESOME!! Just have to think about it for a while. "Where there's a will, there's a way".

Bill,is your truck a Loadstar?? I had a '67 1800,and there were a million 1600 school buses around here, back in the day. I let somebody borrow the truck,to do a roof tear-off,and it pulled in the yard with a rod knock, since he didn't check the oil, like instructed. The previous owner,(my boss),said you couldn't "hurt" those 345's,and "Floored' it for about 5 minutes, before it finally "threw" the rod out the side of the block! What a WASTE!! I couldn't find a replacement engine at the time,so it went to the crusher!

Bill, my truck, the 1500A, is a mixture of pickup and straight truck, like your loadstar. The cab is pickup, but the wheels use lug studs with inner and outer lug nuts, the same as a straight truck. I supposed it might be the rarest of the rare.
