posting pictures that will magnify

Does anybody know how to post pictures that will magnify when selected,
Some pictures do and some don't. Maybee I should get some glasses that magnify higher than 300.
It helps give more detail when somones posting pictures to show part details.
What I do now is save the picture and magnify it on my computer. I can continue to do that if its too much trouble.

As far as I know it is entirely dependent on how the person posted the picture. We can look into it, but do not hold breath, The Tech guy has to get new computer.

Re: posting pictures that will magnify

I think it might depend on size of the file transferred to the post. If you re-size to near the maximum size (512 kb) the pic will be shown smaller and can be blown up by clicking on the smaller "thumbnail" in the post. If your file is small, it will remain so and can not be "expanded".

Re: posting pictures that will magnify

The picture of the cabover engine change is near the size limit, while the pic of the rim is not, one will get bigger when clicked on the other will not. (67 kb vs 470kb)

This is my heavy lifter. I have the seat and floor plates off in the pic. It's 292 chevy just got a headgasket. The usual leaking between 2 cylinders. Im thinking someone didn't retorqe on a rebuild. Its airforce surplus. . Its not as versatile as your boom truck. I got it stuck an just looked at it for several months in disgust. Back to the subject.
The pic was too big to post so I downsized 50 percent with the paint program. See what happens.

Edit; Back to the paint program. didnt work as desired.
Sorry guys Im trying tge wrong route.
I downsized in pixels then in percent with failure.
Im going outside an wrench for a while. Puters get annoying
I taught my boys to never get mad at a machine. It will only do what you make it do. Computers beat me down sometimes. i deleted files to get rid of pic's that didnt work but the pic stays. Many edits.

Re: posting pictures that will magnify

When you get back, try a different percentage like maybe 20% in both directions. just a thought

Re: posting pictures that will magnify

All three of your Pic's are 181KB so they will not get bigger. You need to size the pic as close to the 512Kb size to get them to blow up. It takes me a long time to get one the right size, so I don't post many pictures.

All my photos are oversized on the first attempt so I made extreme adjustments to make sure it will fit. 20% at a time is a good starting point.
Cornbinder89
That is the point I was missing. To get it as close to the max. 512 kb. I ended up with 508kb
It didnt expand with the + but it is a satisfactory size.
When I made the change each time I realized after you save the size change you have to close previous opened window and reopen the picture from the It's folder or properties wont reflect the change. Probably common cense.
It is a touchy adjustment but worth the trouble.
Thanks
