55 ih truck or 54

I have this nicely restore 55 ih pu and a couple people say its older because it has 2 back windows. they stopped that in 54. my title says 55 and the vin # is R1227509. the eng ser# is 107784.
its suppose to all orig and the tag on door don't look like its been messed with. any info would be great or where to go get it. thanks.

Click on the year listing:1928-1966, then go down to first listing for 1953-1955 You will find that your R truck was probably built in was probably built very late 1953 Say in Oct. and probably was not sold for well over a year. Have you looked on your frame(drivers side) in front of the steering box, perhaps by the front spring hanger and located your Chassis number? Did you get a LST for this truck? Can you post up some pictures? Hope this does not confuse you more.
