New LoneStar Base on a D-39

The DMAXX

On the eve of WWII and after, The International D-Series set the pace for a rapidly changing America. Nearly 70 years later, this American legend became the inspiration for the 2008 International LoneStar, the truck that’s changing everything. The D-39 inspired one more original, the International DMAXX, a glimpse of yesterday with innovations that kick straight into the 21st Century.

Building the DMAXX

The DMAXX began life as a 1939 International D-Series “half ton” pick-up. It was found at George Mitchell’s Nollenberger International Dealership in Toledo, Ohio. In September, 2007 this D-39 was shipped to American Speed Company in Plymouth, Michigan, where it would be totally rebuilt and reborn. DMAXX was completed on January 22nd, 2008.
