If you took that rock to Holland, Holland would sink!!
As for that little rock stopping Binders, I think you are confusing the Binder with the Navistar. If there were binders waiting to get around that, they would just tie enough trucks onto the rock, and move it out of the way. No more problem!
Like what it did to the concrete no-post.

Old age and treachery over comes youth and education. If it ain't broke don't fix it? What fun would that be? … OR… If it ain't broke it can't be fixed! Either way, it's no fun! '55 R-164, '52 L-150, '50 L-150 |

Hey Guys
If You start picking on the Hollander's this Dutch Man will make You a swimming suit out of that rock.
Besides My SSS alone could haul that pebble with plenty of room left for a cooler of Heineken. LOL
That much land mass would be worth a fortune there.

So that's why they call em' "The Rockies"
Around here rocks like that breed under the clay during the winter and their offspring push their way to the surface in the spring.
Dave
PS. Is that on a bridge? and do you have any additional photos of scene?

If you could figure out how to place it in a lake, you could have your own island. I know I've seen smaller with a cottage on it.
That sure would scare the heck out of you driving near there when it decided to fall.

Fellow over on Pirate 4X4 was asking about routes, grades, & highways for a trip. A Colorado local gave him some very good info on this slide. Saving a ton of headaches. To see the local news/paper report of incident read post #8 on link below. I believe that is a cantilevered roadbed in the picture.

isn't that amazing. two summers ago there was one about this size skidded down the mountain at the Black Canyon on the Gunnison east of Montrose where my parents live. it tore holly heck out of the road and it was closed for the rest of the year. when those things decide the blast down the hill, look out. glad no one was hurt.
